Microsoft Edge won’t support Active X controls. If you use third-party software that runs with Active X, those passwords will not work in Microsoft Edge.
However, if you don’t any software that uses Active X service then you can use the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter to make the password work:
- Launch Control Panel on Windows computer.
- Then, open Troubleshooting through the Control Panel search field.
- After this, select the Hardware and Sound section in the Troubleshooting screen.
- Select Windows Store Apps.
- Hit the Next button.
If the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter detects any fault, you can continue following the instructions displayed on the screen and close the troubleshooter once the process is finished.
